In-Ear Wearable Bruxism Monitoring Device

A device that monitors involuntary teeth clenching and grinding during sleep through an in-ear wearable sensor system. A piezofilm sensor detects the mechanical vibrations produced when the jaw muscles contract, while a MEMS accelerometer tracks mandibular movement across three axes. Artificial intelligence algorithms based on sensor fusion distinguish physiological jaw movements from bruxism behaviour. When an episode is detected, a micro vibration motor provides instant feedback and the data is transferred to a mobile application over Bluetooth. Its non-invasive design makes it suitable for continuous monitoring.
